Awareness through the moving body
Classes, groups, workshops, retreats
Hello, bonjour, salveβ¦
Iβm Audrey, nice to meet you, enchantΓ©e, molto piacere.
I teach awareness through the moving body, using music as a catalyst and guided movement explorations to grow embodied intelligence.
Beats, melodies, songs: they are baked into our DNA. Humans have been dancing around the fire forever. Dancing is fun, creative and helps to feel more at home in our bodies.
When you make dance a regular movement practice, you are gifting yourself a moment in your week to drop into a wordless, timeless connection with yourself. To resource your nervous system. To notice, stay present, move and express.
The more we practice cultivating freedom and choice in our movement practice, the freer we become in our every day lives.
As a queer, brown teacher of Open Floor movement practice and 25 years as a community leader and educator, I am committed to offering inclusive, queer positive, respectful spaces where all bodies are welcome. All abilities, ages, stamina and fitness levels are welcome on the Open Floor.
I look forward to meeting you on the dance floor.

βThe one hour in my week where I am present for myself rather than my clients. Audrey's guidance allows me follow my body, a welcome moment of true nourishment, filling me up so I can continue to be of serviceβ

βI just loved everything about it. How there is the opportunity to check in with yourself, no pressure to move and how inclusive it has been. Iβve definitely developed greater confidence, and I wonder if there is a connection between this and feeling more confident to move in general since I started this group.β

"It offers me something I canβt access as easily anywhere else in my life. I fall back in love with my body each week. Itβs a deeply nourishing experience. Thank you so, so much"

"This experience has been extraordinary. I didn't have any expectations beyond moving in a non-judgemental way but it turned out to be so much more than that. My favourite bit of a yoga class is the body scan at the end, This practice gave me the tools and space to find that connection with my body and my consciousness for the whole session whilst listening to some fantastic music."

"This is the most nurturing, safe, and accepting place anywhere. Audrey is welcoming, calm, interested in all participants, and has a gentle touch. The message is always; there is no way to get this wrong, and whatever each of us brings is just right for us right now. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to to move in a way which is enjoyable and can be done at any level of fitness. "

"I was hesitant to sign up. However, the warmth of Audrey's welcome is phenomenal (bottle it, please!) and within a few minutes I was settled. Highly recommended if you want some new ideas delivered with scrupulous TLC about your body, mind, soul and heart and how they connect. I was never tempted to find an excuse and miss a session (a first for me). As a whole, it was deeply therapeutic, nourishing, encouraging and quite good fun! "
